OATHSRETURN HOME

YOUR PRACTICE. YOUR DATA.

Privacy without compromise.

Your practice stays on your iPhone. This policy explains the limited information Oaths handles when you buy access, send feedback, contact support, or join the website waitlist.

Last updated October 1, 2026

At a glance

Your oaths, journal entries, reflections, and progress are stored locally on your iPhone. Oaths does not create an account or sync that practice to our servers.

We do not sell personal information, show ads, or use third-party advertising trackers in Oaths.

Information on your iPhone

Oaths stores your oaths, completion history, journal notes, prompted reflections, progress, goals, settings, and reminder preferences on your device. If you turn on the privacy lock, iOS handles Face ID or passcode authentication; Oaths receives the result, not your biometric data.

You can export your journal through the iOS share sheet. Your device sends the export only to the destination you choose.

Subscription purchases

Oaths offers an annual auto-renewing subscription through Apple. Apple handles payment, introductory-offer eligibility, subscription management, and the transaction record. The app checks Apple’s StoreKit information to unlock access. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Apple sends us signed notices when subscription status changes, such as a renewal, billing problem, expiration, or refund. We verify each notice and store its event type, time, environment, and a random notification identifier to monitor purchase operations and avoid duplicate records. We do not store the notice's transaction details, connect these events to an Oaths account, or receive your oaths or journal through this service.

Feedback you choose to send

When you use Settings → Send Feedback, Oaths sends the message you write, a random installation identifier, a submission identifier, and your app and iOS versions to our feedback service. The service hashes the installation identifier and stores the message, identifiers, versions, and submission time. It uses the identifier to limit repeated submissions.

Oaths does not attach your oaths, journal, reflections, or email address to feedback. Feedback is one-way; use support email if you need a reply. Because feedback has no account or email address, we may need details from you to locate a particular message for a deletion request.

Website, waitlist, and support email

If you join the optional website waitlist, Resend stores your email address and sends the confirmation and Oaths launch emails. If you separately check the marketing box, Dougherty Unlimited LLC may also email you about Oaths and its other products, updates, and offers. We record when and how you made that choice. An unchecked box does not add you to broader marketing, including if you previously unsubscribed and join the waitlist again. Emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Our website host processes technical request information, such as IP address, to deliver and protect the site.

When you follow a tagged Instagram or Substack link, we use Cloudflare to count the page visit and, if you newly join the waitlist, the signup. These campaign records contain the link's source, placement, and post code where applicable. They do not contain your email address, IP address, or a visitor identifier. Cloudflare stores these records for up to three months.

If you email support, our email providers handle your address and message so we can read and reply. Please avoid sending sensitive journal content unless it is needed to explain your issue.

Service providers and sharing

Apple processes subscription purchases. We use service providers to receive subscription event notices and optional feedback, host the website, count tagged visits and waitlist signups, manage waitlist email, and handle support messages. They process information to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and your choices

  • Local practice: export your journal or use Settings → Reset everything to clear local practice data. Deleting the app and its data can also remove it; there is no cloud copy for us to restore.
  • Subscription: manage or cancel it in your Apple Account’s subscription settings.
  • Waitlist and marketing email: unsubscribe from an email or ask us to delete your address and consent record.
  • Feedback and support: contact us to request access to or deletion of information we can identify. We keep it only as needed for support, abuse prevention, and improvement.

Security, children, and updates

We use reasonable safeguards for information handled by our services. Oaths is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the app changes and will change the date above when we do.
